Today I saw Mr J when I was on my way to work.
I think he's wife is working near my place that's why he's there to send her off I think.
However, I was late this morning! Was still woalking towards office when it's already 915, but he's even later cos his office is in another area!!!
omg. wad a naughty worker.
His hair problem seems to be getting worse.
He's really balding very fast...
Realized today's friday the 13th.
1st thing in the morning when i reach the office lobby, i found that i couldn't scan and get pass the gantry.
had to register myself with reception before the security guard lets me in.
but i suspect they knew of the problem because the guard is standing right beside the gantry this morning.
the receptionist told me to go to my security center to find out the reason behind the fault.
when i reached there, there were many others who also went there to complain about the problem.
they said they were doing some testing.
luckily the problem was fixed before lunch, so by the time i came back from lunch, i wa able to pass thru the gantry already.
went suntec for lunch cos we wanted to see how tight the security is.
apparently, they cordoned off some walkway area and the whole of suntec convention center is blocked.
but it's still ok.
we're behaving like tourists trying to find out what is happening right at suntec :)
so funny...

On Wednesday when I was celebrating Qianhui's birthday I found out why I didn't get into Hoiman's company when I went there for an interview.
The boss had actually did a search of my name Google and he saw my blog - My Space where I scolded my ex-boss.
It finally got to me that the internet is a scary thing.
Unless you rename yourself, you have no privacy at all!
I finally understand how a person can be sacked because he was using facebook during office hours.
Upon hearing the reason of rejection, I immediately went to delete my entries on My Space and copied everything here.
I even went to lock up my facebook so that people who are not my friends can't see my activities.
If my current/future boss saw my clubbing photos, I'm dead meat...

Grandma is going to have her cataract operation this Monday soon.
It's a common thing for old people but I still can't help feeling a little worried.
I even went up to stay for the night yesterday. She seems fine but apparently she still can't really see with her left eye.
I think for now on I'll go more to grandma's house to visit her.
Also to let grandpa know that I'm there to visit him.
He's a bit senile now and he can't remember our face anymore. haha.

Today I woke up at 630am to go for the run.
The location is at Padang, which is exactly in front of my office!
Oh my goodness. The route is very flat so I find it super easy to run.
I even ran on the F1 race track! I felt like a F1 racer when I was on it.
Next event will be standard chartered run where I'll be the volunteer.
It'f the first time that I'm going there as a volunteer, not a participant.
I wonder what I'll be doing.
Hope that it will be fun... and I really wonder if I must wake up super early cos the flagoff for the 42.195km run is at 430am, if I remember correctly...

Tmr will be the "amazing race" competition I will have with Qianhui, her bf, and her sister.
I remembered the prize money was huge but I can't remember exactly how much.
Hopefully I can win some money for me to save up!!!
lol.
And my dad's been gambling on football. Lost $600 and he borrowed from either my sis or I.
Haiz. He got scolded by mother. We're not exactly poor, but just nice you know. And yet he's spending money on gambling!!!
Can't believe it. Instead of making money, he's spending money UNNECESSARILY.
Hope everything will be well again.
Like cute footballers (Kaka!!!) but don't like gamblers.

2nd day at work at a big corporation.
Although it's humongous (we even need to have 5-digit extension no.), it's kinda very backwards.
Everything is so manual. We must key in every little single details that we have onto the spreadsheet for reporting.
Even tho the last corporation I used to work in isn't that fantastic, but the systems and such are much more modern, with the IT dept having to help make the downloading of the data much more simplistic.
But then it's kind of a good news because the more manual the work is going to get, the more they'll have to hire to complete the task.
So that means it's kinda encouraging for us since it'll help boost employment rate and assist the economy to pick up in such bad times.
Now I'm still in the learning mode so I still have a lot to learn.

I've always been dreaming of having my shop.
It's those kind of shophouses where you have 2 storeys.
The 1st level will be a cafe where I'll serve up some pastries,
premium coffee and tea, cookies, muffins...
Yanru will be my pattisseur who shall come up with all the delicious cakes and such.
I will also recommend every-week lunch specials.
The 2nd level will be my little boutique where I'll sell
clothes belonging to my own label.
Ladies will be shopping on the 2nd level while gentlemen will have their coffee on the 1st level.
Isn't that great???
If the ladies need a little alteration to their clothes, I can have them sit at the cafe to enjoy their afternoon tea while I alter them upstairs!
But Yanru says that I can only have such shops in other countries. Definitely not Singapore.
They suggested having a gaming centre on the 2nd level instead.
Cos gaming centre earns quite a lot.
Besides I can have the cafe downstairs to provide drinks and food for the gamers if they're hungry or thirsty.
I can also create a small comics section in the cafe, so that studious type can relax in their corner.
Yanru also suggested having a pets' cafe where pet owners can bring in their favorite pets to my cafe.
Of course, there will be a section barricaded off so that I can separate pets' corners and normal corners so that customers who do not have pets and chill out too.
Haiz. So many options and so little capital.
But the more I dream about it, the more realistic it became...
When do you think I can have a shop of my own???
I need shareholders, or else I will not be able to save up for my shop on my own...
A rule of thumb is to have savings which can lasts for at least 6 months of no business.
Workers, rental, utilities...
It's a whole load of money.
I sincerely wish that my wish could come true in the very-near future.

Today Mr J was being unreasonable again.
I left a stack of notes on his table, telling him to go thru it to check if i've missed out anything
he was not talking to the phone or whatever, but a few minutes later, he came back to question me saying "you can't just leave a stack of things on my desk without telling me what i'm suppose to do with it"
of course i argues with him!!! i told him i did
His tone really sucks. he sound as if im the one who's being unreasonable, and that i owe him an explanation like that
the thing is... we've agreed the previous month that we're going to adopt this procedure whereby i'll fill in all the particulars which i have the data, and i'll go thru it with him to make sure we didn't miss out anything before we ask hk to check if those missing entries beling to them. if they do beling to hk, the data should be entered from their side, not by us. this is also to prevent double counting
i bet he totally forgot about it, and i have to be forced to write him an officeal email to remind him of what we've agreed upon the last time/
qianhui reminded me to put a post-it on the things which im suppose to give him the next time to avoid confusion. asshole
he also always do these kind of things to me wad... just leave a pile of paper on my desk and wait for me to approach him before he explained what he wants me to do with it.
my other colleague says "that's life. he's the boss so he can do it but you can't" bleah...
then comes evening time. i went to operations to get info on op losses. there was this entry whereby a mistake was made and a full reversal was also made to correct the entry but the exchange rate was diff (due to transactions made at different times) hence the discrepancy by a small amt
the head of ops had to call mr j to scold him for wating her time and my time bcos a FULL reversal shouldn't have anything more to say. there is nothing to report since the error is covered.
but mr j insists that i should check all entries with ops to understand the full picture. he kep focussing on the general picture but the head wants him to focus on the specific case itself
he simply REFUSES to listen. in the end, the head won! and she also scolded mr j for being an idiot, of course only in front of me lah!
she is extremely pissed off with mr j for not understanding simple matters and instruction
i was right beside her and i really feel like killing mr j as i listen to their conversation
i just laugh "dun like that lah... im working for an idiot leh." and then the head simply stare at me with an "i give up" face. lol
when i finally went back to my seat, mr j was like "she's a hard nut to crack right?"
i was thinking "you're the one who made all these things happen. if not for you, she wouldn't be so agitated and feeling so horrible. how dare you still blame others for baring their fangs at you!
i really want to sack mr j!!! but before that, i have to make sure my next rice bowl is stable. i really hope my next job will be a better one, with less shitty ppl to deal with, esp someone like mr j.
