ok. here's an update
last sat & sun was Sava Sprints
it was damn cool can!!!
1st race as a snr. finally.
sat was 500m and sun was 200m
went down for 6 rounds on sat
6 x 500m = 3000m
haha. cos for the women's open we started from heats to semis to plate finals
den the mix team from heats to semi to grand final
so altogether 6 races.
there was once when i just completed the semis for the mix race and i have to go down for another women's plate finals
which is so oh my gosh. freaking tired can!!!
but the feeling is great, esp for the mix race
cos i really can press hard and pull long all the way til the finishing line
the experience was just awesome
and when it comes to the women's plate finals i was damn chui alrdy. but my spirit is still very high. haha.
tot i wouldn't last for another 500m. but i still made it
our boat was very consistent in our strength, which means we've improved damn a lot
but still quite not there yet cos we din get into the grand finals
ah hee says our standard is only in the middle.
all of us felt that we need to do more strength training, like biceps, to improve more on our strength and power
our snrs also very chui. haha.
went for mix grand finals and the next race is women's grand final
the result is of course not that good cos it's really very tiring to row for 2 by 500m consecutively
i totally can understand their chui-ness
then come sun. whole body is aching like hell on sun morning. couldnt wake up at first. haha
we're the first to go down among the team.
morning syndrome setting in and it just feels weird cos 200m is really too short for us to go for our long pull
had to go for moderate and swift strokes for the 200m dash
its really a dash k!
just with a blink of an eye and we're there alrdy. ahha.
just like 500 races, we got into semis and no more. it was really too fast for us le.
snrs boat got 1st for the plate finals race, which is very surprising
cos their race had ard 4 boats coming in neck-to-neck. so we're not really sure who comes in 1st
but after that, the results show that they're 1st to finish.
nice!
then comes the mix race, which is even shorter, cos got guys ma
havent even get ready yet and the coaxier was alrdy calling for charging
haha. but the feeling is simply nice.
my boat came in 3rd in the grand finals, while the other mix team went for the plate finals.
dont really know which position they come in though.
but i know my boat underperform for the grand final's race
the girls felt that we're not stable. that we're all wanting to win so badly that our strokes are not stable
you dun really have the shiok feeling after the race.
as it turn out, we're slower by 1sec compared to the set we had for our semis
but overall not too bad cos we've never trained for mix at all prior to SAVA Sprints
there is still room for improvement!
and i believe we can do better the next time!
cheers!
I love my world:D
