Today marks the end of the River Regatta 2007.It was fun after all, but a little scary because it seems as if all other teams are improving way too fast!We're damn hot on our heels man!kena pushed by them.RP esp lor. Always coming in one of the top few spots. Scary sia!!!It was kind of pressing for the guys too.We got 2nd for our Men's Finals. RP was 1st and NUS was 2nd.Today also got accidents. One of the guys, Zong Xuan got hurt on the hand. Blood spurts out somemore.Disgusted. Never imagine one can get so seriously injured because of an accident.Another guy's paddle just poke into his hands and then he got injured just like that.Today I only rowed for Mix Race. It was damn bad. No communication in the boat at all.The backpack didn't echo most of the commands from the coaxier, so the midpack and the front pack couldn't hear him, and thus couldn't react accurately to the coaxier's commands.We started out like 3 seats behind ppl. But our overall race was a good set. We managed to come in side by side with the rest of the other boats.Because we're at a disadvantage in the beginning, the coaxier had to ride the other boat's waves. In the end, we went too near the buoy and one of the guys actually lost his paddle as he crashed into the buoy. Was quite disastrous for the rest of the teammates because the buoy hit the 1st guy, then the next. Some managed to get their paddles back, so in the end we only have 1 guy who is not rowing.Then the charging part was damn comical. Jiayi, junior, couldn't catch up to the pace at all. Thus, the guy behind her was slowed down by her. After the guy was me. I was following the rythm of the shouting, so obviously I was faster than the guy in front of me and Jiayi. Then I keep hitting the elbow of the guy sitting in front of me. Haha. After the race, he seem quite in pain, but it's really bo bian.I'm already with the boat's pace. It's very hard for me to slow down to their pace. So sorry, buddy!Haha. but overall, it was damn good. More stable than yesterday's race.Then Small Aunt, Felicia Foo, came this morning to support me. She treated me to BK breakfast.Haha. yeah. Only BK cos it is a Sunday morning, and we're in the CBD area, so of course only these fast food restaurants are opened so early in the morning.Nice. How wonderful to have family supporters for the first time. :) and free food somemore. Blessed.Then yesterday saw small uncle on the train while I was on my way home. He infomed me that I'm going to be an aunt again soon. My male and older cousin is going to have a baby, due next year March. March baby! i like! Cos i'm also a March baby.
